Van Nuys, CA (September 6, 2024) – A motorcyclist was tragically killed last night on Sherman Way and Ranchito Avenue in Van Nuys. At about 11:12 p.m., an SUV and the motorcyclist were driving in the same direction. The SUV then attempted a U-turn, and the motorcyclist slammed into the vehicle. A firefighter tried to perform CPR on the victim, but they were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into this collision is ongoing, and more details should unfold soon. San Marcos, CA (September 9, 2024) A 76-year-old pedestrian was tragically killed in San Marcos around 9:10 p.m. on Friday, September 6. San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said that the accident happened around 9:10 p.m. that night. A driver in a Toyota Camry was heading southbound on S. Twin Oaks Valley Road when they hit the pedestrian. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital for serious injuries. Sadly, they passed away there. The driver remained at the scene. Berkeley, CA (September 6, 2024) The victim of a pedestrian crash in Berkeley was identified this week as Charles Gerald Nelson, an 82-year-old from El Cerrito. The tragic incident took place on August 1. According to reports, the crash occurred at 3:40 a.m. near Ashby Ave. in the westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 80. San Diego, CA (September 5, 2024) Social media was alight on Wednesday, September 4, as footage of a Subaru crossing multiple traffic lanes and causing a crash circulated. At about 3:18 p.m. on the 805 in San Diego, the Subaru driver was seen on film driving on a hill off the side of the road before merging into the lanes. Maule Avenue approaching Pearland Street. Meanwhile, a pedestrian was crossing W. Maule Avenue east of Pearland Street and entered the path of the BMW. Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2024) – A pedestrian was tragically killed yesterday, August 4, when he was struck by a vehicle as he tried to cross the Hollywood Freeway (101) south of Hollywood. The crash was reported at about 2:28 a.m. California Highway Patrol responded to the northbound freeway and Vermont Avenue.
