Los Angeles, CA (October 29, 2024) A terrible accident occurred today around 5:50 a.m. in which two people were struck by a hit-and-run driver. A 70-year-old woman tragically died.
Officials reported that the initial crash happened in the Westlake area near Third Street and Virgil Avenue. A man in his 80s was driving and struck the 70-year-old woman, a pedestrian. The man thankfully stopped to help the woman, but another motorist hit both of them.
They were taken to the hospital, where the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries. The man is in stable condition.
