Victorville, CA (October 22, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Victorville on Saturday, October 19th, left two people with injuries. One person was airlifted and another transported to a hospital via ambulance, reports indicated. The accident occurred at the intersection of Clovis Street and Village Drive around 4:40 p.m.
A burgundy Toyota SUV and a black Kia Spectra approached the intersection of Clovis Street and Village Drive at the same time on Saturday. For reasons that remain unknown, both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided at approximately 4:40 p.m. The two vehicles were both badly damaged in the accident, officers reported.
Victorville City Fire sent firefighters and paramedics to the scene where they found one person trapped inside the Kia. They used special tools to extricate the victim, who had sustained critical injuries in the crash. Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to take the victim to a hospital for treatment. The woman was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition.
A second person was found with injuries, as well, and an ambulance transported them to a local hospital to receive treatment. Officers investigated the scene and are determined to discover what caused this accident, as well as who was responsible. Tow trucks had to remove the badly damaged vehicles from the roadway and crews cleaned up the debris that had been left behind.
