Stanislaus County, CA (October 16,2024) A shocking collision occurred in Stanislaus County on Tuesday morning, October 15th, 2024, leaving two people injured. The accident involved a school bus, a car, and a big rig on Crows Landing Road, near Monterey Park Tract. It was just before 7:00 a.m. when the three vehicles collided after the school bus stopped to pick up a child.

A Chatom Union School District Bus was picking up children for school, early on Tuesday morning. At approximately 6:50 a.m., the bus stopped on Crows Landing Road, its red lights flashing and the stop sign extended. A car was driving behind the bus and immediately came to a stop. However, a big rig was traveling behind the car and could not stop in time, according to reports. It slammed into the back of the car, forcing the car into the back of the bus.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the drivers of the car and big rig with significant injuries, following the accident. They were both taken to a nearby hospital, via ambulances, to receive treatment. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time. Thankfully, no children were injured in this collision.
