The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and quickly checked for anyone in need of medical assistance. They found four occupants inside the car and all three passengers had sustained serious injuries. One of the passengers was found trapped inside the vehicle, according to reports. Firefighters worked to extricate the passenger and she was rushed to a nearby hospital, via ambulance. The two other injured passengers were also taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained in the accident. There is no word on the condition of the driver.
Officers continue to investigate this collision and are working to piece together what caused the vehicle to crash into the pole. A tow truck was called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles and crews worked quickly to remove the debris and glass.
