Long Beach, CA (September 20, 2024) A man in Long Beach was killed in a devastating crash while he was walking on Thursday, September 19.
Long Beach Police Department reported that it happened around 11:50 p.m. at Pacific Coast Highway and Pasadena Avenue. A Lexus sedan driving west on PCH hit the pedestrian who was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Update (9/24): The victim has been identified as Long Beach resident Juan Alvarez.
