Arden-Arcade, CA (August 30, 2024) A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle while walking through Arden-Arcade on Thursday afternoon, August 29th, 2024. The accident happened at the intersection of Marconi Avenue and Watt Avenue just after 2:00 p.m.
It happened on a summer afternoon in Arden-Arcade. Officers are still working to put the pieces together, but somehow, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Marconi and Watt Avenues at approximately 2:10 p.m. The impact knocked the pedestrian to the ground where they remained with serious injuries, reports indicated.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the victim on the ground. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for serious injuries.
Officers gathered information at the scene and took statements and are diligently working to determine the cause of this pedestrian accident. As of now, there have been no updates on the pedestrian’s condition. The accident remains under investigation.
