San Jose, CA (August 29, 2024) A woman was tragically killed on Sunday, August 25 in San Jose.
Reports state that the collision occurred in the 400 block of North 33rd Street at about 4:20 a.m. Witnesses called in to report that there appeared to be a person lying in the roadway.
Officers and paramedics arrived to find the female pedestrian bleeding. She was also unresponsive. Paramedics rushed her to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
An ongoing investigation has indicated that the woman had been run over by a vehicle. The motorist reportedly turned themselves in to police a few hours after the crash.
