El Sobrante, CA (August 21, 2024) A passenger tragically passed away on August 15 in El Sobrante after the vehicle they were in crashed.
At about 1:15 p.m., the driver of the van that 63-year-old Donald Cramer was a passenger in was heading eastbound on Appian Way. Reports state that the driver was recklessly speeding as they approached the intersection at La Paloma Road.
The van sideswiped three vehicles and hit a trailer that was parked on the right shoulder. It toppled onto its left side as it came to rest on the road.
Cramer was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
