Long Beach, CA (August 16, 2024) A fatal hit-and-run between a vehicle and a pedestrian happened in Long Beach on August 3. Today, the victim was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries at the hospital.
48-year-old Anthony Tapia was walking near East Seventh Street and Saint Louis Avenue at about 9:25 p.m. when he was struck by a dark SUV that fled the scene.
Authorities are still looking for the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Long Beach Police Department.
