Las Vegas, NV (August 6, 2024) A traumatic collision occurred in Las Vegas on the evening of Sunday, August 4th. The collision caused serious injuries and involved multiple vehicles, according to reports. IT all happened just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of N. Desert Foothills Drive and Red Pass Drive.
Several vehicles approached the intersection of N. Desert Foothills Dr. and Red Pass Dr. on Sunday evening. At approximately 8:48 p.m., and for reasons that remain unknown, several vehicles collided at the intersection, according to reports. The squeal of tires and colliding metal filled the air as drivers tried to avoid the inevitable. Debris was tossed all over the roadway and the damaged vehicles sat, broken, in the middle of the intersection, causing traffic delays.
Police officers arrived at the scene within minutes and found the damaged vehicles. They quickly went from vehicle to vehicle, checking for anyone in need of medical attention. They found at least one person with significant injuries, reports indicated. Paramedics were requested at the scene and loaded those with injuries into ambulances. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for injuries they received in the accident. The exact number of injured is still unknown, officers reported.
Authorities worked to investigate the scene and question everyone who was at the intersection that evening. They continue to work diligently to determine not only what caused this accident, but who was responsible, as well. Tow trucks had to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway and the glass and debris was swept up before the intersection could reopen to motorists.
