June Lake, CA (August 5, 2024) A massive injury accident occurred on Friday afternoon, August 2nd. The two-vehicle collision occurred on US Highway 395, near State Route 158. The accident, which happened right around noon, left at least 10 people with injuries, officers reported.
A Ford Expedition SUV and a Ford F-150 Pickup truck were involved in the accident on US Highway 395. Reports from witnesses indicated that the vehicles were traveling at “very high speeds” when they collided on the south side of the highway. Following the collision, several people became trapped inside the pickup truck, officers reported.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene as quickly as they could, with emergency lights flashing. They made it to the scene to find the two vehicles with major damage sitting in the middle of the roadway. Officers checked the vehicles to assist those who needed medical care. Reports indicated that approximately 10 people were found with injuries. Paramedics arrived and everyone worked together, using special tools, to free the victims from the pickup truck. At this time, it is unknown if the victims were treated at the scene or taken to a hospital.
Officers took statements from witnesses, as well as those involved, and are working as quickly as they can to determine what caused this collision in June Lake.
