Fernley, NV (July 24, 2024) A terrible accident occurred today that tragically resulted in a fatality.
The collision happened shortly after 8:15 a.m. today. Three people were injured and one person was killed in the tragic accident.
The crash scene was located near mile marker 10 at U.S. 50 Alternate and U.S. 95 Alternate.
Nevada State Police reported that three cars and one semi-truck were involved in this crash. A driver in a Toyota attempted to pass the semi-truck by driving south in the northbound lane. A driver in a Ram swerved right to avoid being hit head-on by the Toyota, but he was still hit on the left side, causing his vehicle to spin out. As it spun, the Ram struck a Ford Edge–driven by the now-deceased victim–that rolled down an embankment.
Update (8/14): The victim has been identified as 71-year-old Donald Marquise of Madison, Alabama.
