Sacramento, CA (July 24, 2024) A vehicle was broadsided at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and American Avenue in Sacramento on Tuesday morning, July 23rd. The accident happened just before 4:00 a.m. and left three people with injuries, according to reports.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the two vehicles were approaching the same intersection on that early Tuesday morning. For reasons that are still unknown, both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, causing one vehicle to broadside the other. Reports indicated that the two vehicles collided at approximately 3:58 a.m. in the Garden land neighborhood. The collision caused major damage to both vehicles and sent glass and debris flying all over the intersection, according to reports.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the two vehicles in the middle of the intersection with major damage. Officers hurried to see if anyone inside the vehicles was in need of medical attention and found three people with injuries, according to reports. Paramedics took the three people, a man and two women, to a nearby hospital to receive emergency treatment. Officers gathered evidence at the scene and are working diligently to determine what exactly happened at this Sacramento intersection. They are also working to piece together who was at fault.
