    One Airlifted Following Multi-Vehicle Oasis Crash On SR-86

    Oasis, CA (July 22, 2024) The community of Oasis was shocked to learn of a collision that left a person with serious injuries. The accident occurred at State Route 86 and 81st Street, according to officers. At least three vehicles collided, leaving one person with major injuries. It all happened around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 19th. The injured victim was airlifted from the scene in critical condition, reports indicated.

    The story begins with a red Kia sedan, a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Ford Expedition heading along State Route 86. For reasons that are still unknown, the three vehicles collided near 81st Street. The force from the collision sent one of the vehicles rolling onto its roof, where it came to a stop, according to reports. All three vehicles were left with major body damage following the collision.

    Emergency personnel from the Riverside County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene. They found the three vehicles in the middle of the highway with major damage. One of the vehicles was overturned and debris and glass were everywhere. Paramedics rushed from vehicle to vehicle to see if anyone needed medical care. They found the driver of the Kia with critical injuries and called for a helicopter. The air ambulance arrived at the scene and quickly transported the victim to Desert Regional Medial Center to receive emergency treatment.

    Reports indicated that the driver of the Expedition was uninjured in this collision. The driver of the Ram pickup sustained minor injuries, officers reported. They were treated at the scene by paramedics.

    Detectives began gathering evidence a and taking statements not only from those involved, but also from witnesses. They are determined to not only piece to get her what caused this multi-vehicle crash, but to also learn who was at fault. Once the initial investigation at the scene was completed, officers called for tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene. Crews worked quickly to remove all of the glass and debris from the roadway, as well.
