Pacheco, CA (July 15, 2024) A tragic accident occurred in the evening of Sunday, July 14 in Pacheco, a community in Contra Costa County. It happened on the East Bay Freeway.
At about 10:55 p.m., two vehicles collided on southbound Interstate 680 near the Concord Avenue exit.
Reports have not indicated what caused the crash. California Highway Patrol stated that one of the vehicles came to rest on its roof following the accident.
It’s unclear how many people were involved in this collision, but at least one person was pronounced dead. An investigation is ongoing. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
