Los Angeles, CA (July 15, 2024) A frightening crash took place early in the morning on Sunday, July 14.
At about 4:40 a.m., a driver was heading south on the 101 Freeway in a white sedan.
As they approached Universal Studios Boulevard, they suddenly struck a concrete wall on the right shoulder of the road, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
It’s unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle at this time. Details are still unfolding, but reports seem to indicate that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Update: The driver who was tragically killed in the accident has been identified as Layton Berrios, a 20-year-old.
