Stockton, CA (July 15, 2024)
A horrible accident took place early in the morning on Sunday, July 14.
At about 1 a.m., a 22-year-old woman was driving in the Lakeview District close to North Pershing Avenue and Quail Lakes Drive.
Suddenly, another vehicle broadsided her car. Paramedics rushed her to the hospital, but tragically, she was pronounced dead.
Police arrested the other driver and charged her with vehicle manslaughter with gross negligence and two felony counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into San Joaquin County Jail a few hours after the collision.
The victim’s identity has not been made available at this time.
