Pasadena, CA (July 14, 2024) A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Pasadena on Friday morning, July 12th. The accident occurred just after midnight at the intersection of Walnut Street and Lake Avenue, according to reports. Officers said the pedestrian, identified as a 29-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries to his head and torso.

A male pedestrian was at the intersection of Walnut Street and Lake Avenue, just after midnight, on Friday, July 12th. Suddenly, he was struck by a vehicle, officers reported. The force from the impact sent the pedestrian through the air before he landed on the ground, several feet away. The vehicle, driven by a 40-year-old man, immediately stopped and called 911 following the accident.

The Pasadena Police Department hurried to the scene with sirens wailing and emergency lights flashing through the darkness. They arrived to find the pedestrian on the ground with life-threatening injuries, according to reports. The victim had suffered injured to his head, as well as his torso, and needed immediate emergency care. Paramedics at the scene begin life-saving measures on the pedestrian before loading him into an ambulance and rushing him to a local hospital.

Detectives at the scene gathered evidence and spoke to the driver of the vehicle involved in this pedestrian accident. They continue to work this case in an effort to understand exactly what happened at that Pasadena intersection that left a pedestrian fighting for his life. Reports indicated that the pedestrian remains in critical condition.
