Anderson, CA (July 11, 2024) A frightening accident occurred early Thursday morning in Anderson, a city in Shasta County about ten miles south of Redding.
CHP received word of an accident around 1:30 a.m., arriving to the scene to see a car surrounded in smoke and on fire.
Reports say that a man driving a Toyota Corolla with two passengers was speeding when he lost control, left the road, and smashed into a light pole at Happy Valley Road.
Tragically, authorities responded and found one of the passengers, Michael Harvey of Redding, 56, dead at the scene. The driver was rushed to the hospital, but he too succumbed to his injuries. A passenger, Daniel Bishop, 35, was taken to the hospital with “major” injuries. His current condition is unknown at the time of writing.
