Las Vegas, NV (June 24, 2024) An accident in the southeast valley area of Las Vegas occurred on Monday, June 24th, and left one person with fatal injuries. The four-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of East Desert Inn Road and South Nellis Boulevard. Tragically, one person lost their life and several others were injured in this chaotic accident.
As vehicles headed through the southeast valley, four vehicles suddenly collided at the intersection of East Desert Inn Road and South Nellis Boulevard. The cause of this chaotic collision is still unknown, authorities reported. The collision left debris all over the intersection and the damaged vehicles blocked the roadway for other motorists, making it all even more chaotic.
Authorities arrived at the scene and found the four vehicles in the middle of the intersection and quickly began checking to see if anyone needed help. They found several people with injuries, reports indicated. Paramedics were called and arrived at the scene ready to give medical care to victims. They found one person with life-threatening injuries and began life-saving treatment at the scene. All of the injured were gently loaded into ambulances and rushed to local hospitals to receive treatments. Sadly, one of the injured succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers had to close the intersection as well as roads in both directions as they investigated the scene. They gathered evidence and spoke with witnesses, as well as those involved. The investigation took hours and then tow trucks arrived to remove the wrecked vehicles from the scene. It took crews quite a while to remove all of the debris and glass from the intersection before motorists could resume using it.
