    Three-Vehicle Collsion In Northeast Fresno Injured Two

    Fresno, CA (June 17, 2024) Wesley United Methodist Church has been the scene of several accidents over the past few years and this trend continued on Saturday afternoon, June 15th. It all started when a vehicle didn’t yield to other vehicles at the intersection of Fourth Street and Barstow Avenue. The collision sent one of the vehicles crashing into a building at Wesley United Methodist Church and left two people with injuries.

    It was right around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, June 15th, as vehicles in northeast Fresno headed to and from their destinations. Suddenly, a vehicle on Fourth Street didn’t stop before turning onto Barstow Avenue, directly in front of other vehicles, according to reports. The vehicle collided with two other cars, sending one of the vehicles over the curb and into one of the structures at the Wesley Unities Methodist Church.

    Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found a black car, its airbags deployed, sitting on the sidewalk on the church’s property. A small building had been struck by the vehicles and brick and concrete were all over the ground. Two other vehicles were sitting in the roadway, both damaged, officers reported. Paramedics began searching the vehicles to give medical aid to anyone who had been injured and found two people with injuries, reports indicated.

    Officers gathered evidence and investigated the scene before crews began cleaning up the mess that was left behind. A tow truck was called to the scene to remove at least one of the damaged vehicles and it took crews hours to clean up all of the debris that had been left behind. We, as drivers, must be alert at all times when operating a motor vehicle. Thankfully, no lives were claimed in this three-vehicle collision in Fresno.
