Novato, CA (June 13, 2024) Two vehicles collided late Wednesday morning in Novato. One of the vehicles was a truck that was hauling concrete and gravel. The collision left two passengers with injuries, officers reported. It all happened in Marin County on Novato Boulevard, not too far from Point Reyes Petaluma Road. Officers with the California Highway Patrol received the call just before 11:30 a.m., on June 12th.
Vehicles drove through Novato on Wednesday morning, just as they did every other day. On June 12th, however, the east of travel was disrupted by an accident. A truck that was hauling gravel and concrete was traveling along Novato Boulevard, when it suddenly collided with another vehicle. The force from the collision caused the truck to overturn, tossing gravel and concrete all over the roadway. Officers reported that all lanes of the roadway were completely blocked, following this accident.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the truck overturned and the other vehicle damaged. Conrete, gravel and debris littered the roadway in every direction, officers reported. Paramedics with the Marin County Fire Department hurried to find anyone who might need medical attention. They discovered two passengers in the car with injuries, but both were conscious and breathing, according to reports. Paramedics transported the two victims to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained during the accident.
Officers investigated the scene and are working to determine what caused this collision and who was at fault. Tow trucks were requested to come to the scene and remove both of the damaged vehicles. It took hours for crews to clean up all the debris, gravel and concrete from the roadway before traffic could resume, reports indicated.
