Hillcrest, CA (June 11, 2024) A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run at Sixth Street and University Avenue on Sunday, June 9. The pedestrian was crossing Sixth Street around 10:30 p.m. when they were hit by a driver who fled the scene. The victim was unconscious and bleeding in the road when San Diego police arrived.
Paramedics took the victim to Scripps Mercy Hospital to receive urgent medical care. Authorities are working to find out who the driver was, and what their vehicle looks like.
