Sacramento, CA (April 15, 2024) A shocking accident took place in downtown Sacramento on Sunday evening. Not one, but three pedestrians were walking through the downtown area when all three of them were hit by a vehicle, officers said. The collision took place near North B Street and Dos Rios Street at approximately 5:32 p.m. The driver of the vehicle quickly fled the scene following the accident.
It was early on Sunday evening in Sacramento as three pedestrians walked through an area of downtown. As they walked, a vehicle approached them near North B Street and Dos Rios Street. Without any warning, the vehicle struck the three pedestrians, knocking them all to the ground. Law dictates that drivers are to remain at the scene following an accident, however, the driver who struck the three pedestrians hit the gas and drove away after this accident.
Emergency Crews arrived at the scene and found the three pedestrians on the ground with significant injuries. Paramedics evaluated the three injured people before transporting them to local hospitals via ambulance to receive treatment.
Officers began their investigation and are determined to figure out what vehicle struck the three pedestrians. They are set on locating the vehicle and, in turn, finding the driver responsible for this hit-and-run accident in downtown Sacramento.
