San Jacinto, CA (April 4, 2024) – Tragedy struck in San Jacinto as a five-vehicle collision claimed 36-year-old Venus Angel Aguilar’s life and left several others injured earlier Thursday morning, April 4th, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The incident unfolded at approximately 7:40 a.m. near the intersection of San Jacinto Avenue and Ramona Expressway, sending shockwaves through the local community.

First responders rushed to the scene where the aftermath of the collision painted a heartbreaking picture. One individual tragically succumbed to their injuries before help could arrive, underscoring the severity of the incident.

Among the survivors, two individuals sustained serious injuries, while two others suffered minor injuries. Additionally, three individuals were evaluated by paramedics but declined further medical attention. The rescue operation was further complicated as two of the injured required extrication from the wreckage, highlighting the intensity of the crash.

As authorities initiated their investigation, Ramona Expressway between Eagle Road and San Jacinto Avenue was temporarily shut down to facilitate the thorough examination of the scene. The closure prompted advisories for the public to steer clear of the area, allowing emergency responders to work efficiently amidst the chaos.
