Stockton, CA (March 27, 2024) State Route Highway 88, also known as Waterloo Road, was the location of a two-vehicle collision this morning. The injury accident happened just after 6:40 a.m. and left two people injured on Wednesday, March 27th.
Rush hour traffic hadn’t yet started as vehicles drove along State Route 88 in Stockton. Two of these vehicles, a Ford pickup truck and a Chevrolet Suburban SUV, collided while driving on the highway. Officers are not yet sure what caused the two vehicles to crash, but arrived to find both vehicles blocking eastbound and westbound lanes of State Route 88. Debris and glass littered the roadway like confetti and both cars sustained major damage.
Paramedics at the scene hurried to help anyone who had been injured. They found one person with serious injuries and carefully, but quickly, loaded them into an ambulance and rushed them to a local hospital to receive treatment. The driver of the Suburban, who was involved in the accident, complained of a head injury and neck pain. At this time, it has not been said if they were treated at the scene or sent to a hospital.
Both vehicles had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks and crews worked as quickly as they could to clear the highway of debris. Investigators are working diligently to determine what exactly happened on State Route 88 in Stockton this morning.
