Lancaster, CA (March 18, 2024) A woman tragically lost her life on Saturday, March 16th, when a vehicle ran a red light on 20th Street in Lancaster. The accident happened at approximately 9:42 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue J-8, officers said.
A Mitsubishi Outlander was headed south 20th Street when she ran a red light. An Infiniti G35 was heading west on Avenue J-8 at the same time and was hit by the Outlander. A passenger in the Infiniti was partially thrown from the vehicle during the accident. Other people in the vehicle were trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters, according to reports.

Paramedics found the woman who was partially ejected and rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
