Antioch, CA (January 22, 2024) A hit-and-run collision in Antioch claimed the lives of 12-year-old Arsenio Rabb and 13-year-old Amahje Amenike on December 28th, 2023.  The two boys were brothers and were in a vehicle with their father at the time of the collision. The fatal accident took place at the intersection of G Street and West 6th Street, authorities said.

Rabb and Amenike were riding in a vehicle being driven by their father when an SUV slammed into them. The driver of the SUV then fled the scene, according to police officers. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found both boys with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed them to a local hospital via ambulance to receive treatment for their injuries. Unfortunately, both boys died from their injuries and were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Initial investigation by police officers indicated that the driver of the SUV that struck them, was speeding and possibly driving recklessly. Lt. Rick Martin is leading the investigation into this collision. No arrests have been made at this time, but officers are determined to find this driver and bring him to justice for taking these two boys’ lives and running away.

Teachers at the middle school in San Francisco that Emenike attended, have set up a GoFundMe account to help the family cover funeral costs for the two sons they lost.
