Oakland, CA (January 17,2024) A 66-year-old woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing the street in East Oakland, authorities said. The fatal accident occurred on MacArthur Boulevard at the 90th Avenue intersection minutes before 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 14th.
The woman was crossing the street in a designated crosswalk on MacArthur Boulevard when she was struck by a vehicle, according to the Oakland Police Department. A white 4-door Cadillac Deville hit the woman and then drove away, leaving her with life-threatening injuries in the middle of the road.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found her lying in the road in critical condition. She was rushed to a local hospital where, sadly, she later died from her injuries. Authorities are determined to find the Cadillac and bring the driver to justice.
