Jurupa Valley, CA (January 16, 2024) A female pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver in the 4000 block of Etiwanda Avenue in Jurupa Valley. The fatal accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 13th, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian unresponsive and lying in a nearby parking lot. Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rafael Lopez said the pedestrian had “obvious signs of trauma and deputies pronounced the female deceased at the scene.” A medical examiner was called and as deputies waited, they tried to put together the pieces of this hit-and-run puzzle.

The vehicle that hit the pedestrian was nowhere to be found. The driver hit the woman and then, heartlessly, continued driving, leaving her with life-threatening injuries. Investigators searched the scene for evidence and authorities are determined to find the vehicle involved. They also hope to find the driver who struck this pedestrian in Jurupa Valley and drove away from the scene.
