Los Angeles, CA (December 18, 2023) Carlos Pech, only 15 years old, was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles on Saturday, December 16th. Officers said the accident happened just after 11:00 p.m. at Strathern Street, which is just east of Craner Avenue.
A Cadillac Escalade, driven by 22-year-old Joseph Delgado of North Hills, lost control and slammed into a parked car. The force from this crash caused the Cadillac to spin out of control and that is when it hit Carlos Pech, who was walking on the sidewalk. Delgado then fled the scene.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Pech on the ground. Paramedics rushed to give medical aid, but sadly, Pech was pronounced dead at the scene.
that debris from the accident had flown and hit a second pedestrian in the area. They sustained injuries but are expected to make a full recovery.
Crews began cleaning up the debris left behind by Delgado’s Cadillac and investigators searched the scene for evidence. Joseph Delgado was later found and arrested for murder, authorities said. He was booked into the Van Nuys Jail.
