Houston, TX (December 6, 2023) 34-year-old Devin wold lost his life in a wrong-way collision in The Heights in North Houston, according to authorities. Sadly, he was hit by a drunk driver on N. Shepherd, not far from West 7th Street on November 30th. It happened just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Houston Police Department.

Wold was driving a Volkswagen Jetta when he was struck, head-on, by a Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by Sherry Ann Parsons, 32. Police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and found Wold already deceased. He was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. His family and friends are mourning this tragic loss and many have said they are in disbelief. One of Wold’s friends, John Dalton said, “I’m just really angry.” They all feel that Devin Dalton’s death was easily preventable. “Someone makes a bad decision and he’s no longer with us,” John Dalton went on to say.
Parsons was injured in the collision and remains hospitalized. The Houston Police Department stated that once she is released from the hospital, she will be booked into the Harris County Jail. She is being charged with intoxicated manslaughter, authorities reported.
