Novato, CA (November 28, 2023) Five people were injured on Monday evening, November 27th, after a vehicle crashed into a 7-Eleven in Novato, according to the Novato Police Department. The crash happened at approximately 6:00 p.m. at 800 Diablo Avenue.
Authorities said the driver was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Four people inside the 7-Eleven were injured when the vehicle came barreling into the convenience store, according to authorities. Paramedics at the scene ended up taking 4 of the 5 injured people to a local hospital to receive treatment. They reported that injuries ranged from minor to moderate and, thankfully, no one sustained life-threatening injuries in this crash.

Officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol paid a role in this collision. The driver was also injured in the crash and was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. Officers are not certain as to what caused the driver to lose control, swerve off the road and slam into the 7-Eleven on Diablo Avenue.
A tow truck was called to the scene to remove the badly damaged vehicle from the convenience store and the building was red-tagged by officials and closed off, following the accident. Officers are investigating this accident to try and determine what exactly happened at 800 Diablo Avenue in Novato.
