San Jose, CA (November 27, 2023) A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Jose on Sunday, November 26th. According to the San Jose Police Department, the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Capital Expressway and Copperfield Drive.
The San Jose Police Department arrived at the scene to find a person lying in the intersection. Paramedics arrived at the scene and began performing life saving measures on the pedestrian. They loaded the pedestrian into an ambulance and rushed them to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The medical examiner is withholding the victim’s identity until their next of kin have been notified.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers during their investigation. They are unsure as to what exactly happened at the intersection of Capital Expressway and Copperfield Drive, but hope to fit the pieces together soon.
The San Jose Police Department said that this is the 44th fatal collision in the San Jose this year and the 25th pedestrian death.
