Sacramento, CA (November 10, 2023) – A 61 year old pedestrian tragically lost their life on Wednesday, November 8th, in a hit-and-run crash on Florin Road in Sacramento, California. According to the Sacramento Bee, a local news source, the accident took place at around 7:15 p.m. in the block between Franklin Boulevard and Bowling Drive.
The South Sacramento office of the California Highway Patrol reported that the victim was crossing from the center median to the sidewalk on the eastbound side of Floren road when they were struck unexpectedly by a vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver that struck the pedestrian fled the scene of the accident and did not contact authorities or attempt to help the injured pedestrian.

When the scene was reported, Paramedics rushed to the area to provide medical assistance. Sadly, it was too late and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim after proper notification of family members.
The California Highway Patrol is urgently investigating this hit-and-run crash on Florin Road. They are looking for any and all information about the vehicle and driver involved in the collision.
