Turlock, CA (November 8, 2023) – 33 year old Shane Hurst, a long time resident of Turlock, tragically lost his life on Monday, November 6th, in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Turlock, California. According to the local police, the accident took place around 4:50 p.m. on the 3100 block of West Christofferson Parkway.
Hurst was walking on Christofferson Parkway with his bike, heading home, when an out of control car struck him at high speed. The driver of the vehicle than fled the scene of the collision without stopping to provide aid. When authorities arrived on scene they found Hurst in the center median of the road with a severe head injury.

Paramedics were quickly dispatched to the scene and they provided aid to Hurst while transporting him to the hospital. Sadly, his injuries were too extensive and he was later pronounced dead.
Police are urgently investigating the death of Shane Hurst. They are looking for any witnesses or information regarding the hit-and-run vehicle and driver.
