Nashville, TN (November 5, 2023) One person lost their life early Saturday morning, November 4th, when they were struck by a drunk driver in Nashville. 20-year-old Bryan Lozano was arrested for DUI following the tragic collision. According to the Nashville Police Department, the collision occurred on Nolensville Pike at approximately 2:00 a.m.
Lozano was speeding his way down Nolensville Pike when he arrived at the Harding Place intersection. He had a red light, but didn’t even slow down, instead he sped right through it. He then struck a Honda on its driver’s side. The Honda burst into flames, spun around and then hit a Jeep Compass.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and paramedics began searching vehicles for injured people to help. Sadly, they found the driver of the Honda unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire fighters got to work on the burning car and extinguished its fire. Crews had to clear the scene of glass and debris and a tow truck was called to remove the burnt and destroyed Honda from the roadway.
Loranzo was uninjured in the collision but a nearby officer overheard him say, “I’m drunk,” following the crash. Not only was he drunk driving, he was also driving with a suspended license.
Officers arrested Loranzo at the scene. He was charged with vehicular homicide, driving with a suspended driver’s license and underage drinking. Lozano remains in custody on a $78,500 bond.
