Desert Hot Springs, CA (November 1, 2023) – A young child and at least one adult were among those injured on Monday, October 30th, in a major crash on Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection with Yucca Drive.
According to police a white Subaru was headed north on Palm Drive when it accidentally veered into the oncoming lane. This caused it to collide head on with a southbound Toyota pickup truck at nearly full speed. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the collision.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they found at least three individuals with injuries, including a 10 year old child. The child and one other were transported by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition. The third received on scene medical attention, but was not hospitalized.
