Fresno, CA (October 24, 2023) A motorcyclist was injured on Monday, October 23rd, after crashing into another vehicle while trying to pass traffic in the bike lane. According to Fox 26 News, the accident occurred near a shopping center at Palm and Bullard.
The Fresno Police Department said a car was attempting to turn into the parking lot of the shopping center at Palm and Bullard. Traffic in the area stopped to let the vehicle make the left turn, but suddenly, a motorcycle appeared in the bike lane. It was trying to pass traffic that had stopped. As the motorcycle passed vehicles in the bike lane, it crashed into the vehicle that was making a left turn.

Officers arrived at that scene and told Fox 26 News that the motorcycle was only going about 20-25 mph at the time of the collision. The rider was still injured in the crash, but was conscious and speaking when they arrived at the scene.
Paramedics arrived and transported the motorcycle rider to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained in the crash. Images of the collision show a damaged motorcycle being loaded onto a trailer by officers following the crash. The road was blocked for a while as officers cleared debris from the crash site and removed the damaged motorcycle. No one else was injured in this Fresno collision.
