Santa Cruz, CA (October 5, 2023) – A rider was injured on Wednesday, October 4th, after a motorcycle crash on SR-1 in Santa Cruz. The accident was reported around 7:26 a.m. south of the Mar Monte Avenue Exit.
According to witnesses a white RV made a sudden lane change in front of a motorcyclist, possibly leading to the crash. The motorcycle and a black Toyota Camry collided in the northbound lanes. By 7:51 all lanes had been reopened.

The motorcyclist suffered moderate to severe injuries, but further details have not been disclosed.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the motorcycle crash on SR-1.
