Lancaster, CA (September 26, 2023) The driver of a sedan was killed in a 2-vehicle collision on Monday night in Lancaster. The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m., according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Department.

It happened in the area of Avenue H-4 and Challenger Way. A sedan was driving north on Challenger Way and made an abrupt left turn. It ended up T-boning an SUV that was traveling south. Sgt. Michael Politano of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said the driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Reports indicate that the driver of the sedan was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Authorities do not know if drugs or alcohol played a role in this collision. It is currently under investigation.
