A gray 2007 gray Mercury Grand Marquis and a semi-truck collided on State Route 99, due to unknown circumstances around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 3023. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene along with paramedics and pronounced one victim dead at the scene.
The collision left a field of debris covering all lanes of the highway. Authorities said at least one tow truck was called to remove the damaged car from the roadway. The scene is being investigated to determine fault and cause.
