Fresno, CA (August 25, 2023) A man was hospitalized on Friday after being hit by a train early Friday morning, according to first responders. Authorities are still unsure as to what caused the accident and are investigating.

The accident occurred on the Union Pacific tracks in Fresno that go under Highway 41 a little after 3:00 a.m. First responders on the scene said they found the man laying near the tracks with serious injuries but he was conscious and breathing.
The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained in this accident. Authorities say his condition is still unknown at this time.
