Sacramento, CA (August 12, 2023) The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel Bush, 31, a known gang member, after a pursuit on Thursday night. Authorities said Bush led them on both a vehicle and foot pursuit. He also had 2 children with him during the pursuit.

Deputies said that shortly after the pursuit began, Bush crashed near Florin Road and Interstate 5. He then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving the 2 children in the vehicle. The children were unharmed and released to family members.
Bush ran across southbound lanes of Interstate 5 and hid in one of the neighborhoods. Authorities said they searched for over 40 minutes for Bush, before he was found with the help of a k-9. Bush was hiding in a garbage can and surrendered to the deputies.
