According to the Lodi Police Department, one person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Central Avenue and Watson Street on Thursday, August 3.
A City of Lodi Public Works employee was working, when he was hit by a vehicle on the street. The exact cause of the collision is currently unknown.

The worker suffered severe injuries from the direct collision with the car and was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.
The pedestrian accident on Central Avenue is under investigation, and it has been found that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
