(Peoria, AZ) A Grand Avenue collision resulted in the death of Michael Anthony Bianco, 70, on Friday, November 7.

According to the Peoria Police Department, the collision occurred along Grand Avenue near 83rd and 85th avenues. Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Bianco with serious to critical injuries. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Police said the crash involved two vehicles and a motorcycle, though details on how the collision occurred remain under investigation. Portions of Grand Avenue were closed for several hours in both directions while authorities documented evidence and cleared the scene.

The Peoria Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them as the investigation continues.

Overview on the Grand Avenue Collision

When a motorcycle is involved in a multi-vehicle crash, investigators typically examine the Right-of-Way and Turning Law. It requires drivers making turns to yield to oncoming traffic that presents an immediate hazard. Determining which vehicle had the right-of-way and whether a turn or lane change caused the crash will be key in this case.

If speed played a role, the Reasonable and Prudent Speed Law may also apply. This law requires drivers to maintain a speed that is safe for road, traffic, and weather conditions. Even slight speeding can prove fatal when a motorcycle is involved.

Additionally, Arizona’s Motorcycle Safety Statute emphasizes that drivers must stay alert for motorcycles and ensure intersections are clear before turning or merging. These statutes will guide Peoria police investigators as they work to determine what led to the Grand Avenue collision and the death of Michael Anthony Bianco.

    Support for Bianco’s Family

If you are related to Michael Anthony Bianco, you should remain in contact with the Peoria Police Department for updates on the investigation and to obtain the official crash report once it becomes available. This report can help clarify how the crash occurred and what actions are being taken.

When you are ready, consider reaching out to an attorney experienced in motorcycle and wrongful-death cases in Arizona. They can help explain your family’s rights and assist in pursuing accountability and justice for Mr. Bianco.

Finally, allow yourself time to grieve and heal. Lean on family, friends, and community support groups in Peoria for comfort as you remember and honor Michael Anthony Bianco’s life.
