(Fontana, CA) A teenager sustained serious injuries in a Cherry Avenue hit and run crash in Fontana.
On Wednesday, August 6, at 7:30 a.m., the Cherry Avenue hit and run collision occurred. According to Fontana police, it happened near Cherry Avenue and Walnut Street.
When police investigated, they learned a 17-year-old girl was headed to school. A few blocks before reaching school, a car struck the teenager, leaving her seriously injured. The driver fled the scene without stopping to help the victim.
When paramedics arrived at the Cherry Avenue hit and run crash site, they transported her to a nearby hospital. As of now, there is no description of the hit and run vehicle.
