Overview on the Central Avenue Crash

When a crash occurs in an intersection, investigators typically review the Right-of-Way Law. It requires drivers turning or entering an intersection to yield to oncoming traffic that poses an immediate hazard. Determining which vehicle had the right-of-way is central to understanding how this tragedy unfolded.

If unsafe speed contributed, the Basic Speed Law may also be considered. It prohibits driving faster than is reasonable or safe for current conditions.

Additionally, the Motorcycle Safety Law emphasizes the shared responsibility of all drivers to maintain awareness of motorcyclists on the road. This statute highlights the importance of caution in intersections, where many serious motorcycle collisions occur. Each of these laws will guide investigators as they determine the cause of the Central Avenue crash.
