Newhall, CA (April 9, 2024) A Monday afternoon drive took a turn for two SUVs in Newhall. The two-SUV collision occurred just after 3:00 p.m.l at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Market Street. Two people were transported to the hospital with injuries following this accident, according to police officers.

Traffic was moving, just as it does every day, when two SUV suddenly collided in the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Market Street. One of the SUVs ended up rolling over and came to stop on its side. The roadway was partially blocked by the damaged vehicles and pieces of debris covered the road. It was just after 3:00 p.m. on April 8th, when the 911 was received.

Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 73 hurried to the scene. Upon arrival, they found that traffic was backed up and the intersection of was blocked by damaged vehicles. One person in the overturned SUV, a passenger, was trapped following the accident. Firefighters worked together to extricate the passenger from the vehicle, where they were then checked for injuries.

Two people were rushed to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for serious injuries. Officers investigated the scene to help them better determine what caused this accident and who was at fault. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the badly damaged vehicles and pieces of the vehicles had to be removed from the intersection. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
